How to Change the Search Key to CAPS LOCK on a Chromebook
Do you sometimes press the search key on your Chromebook thinking it’s going to turn on the caps lock and get the Chrome search box instead? If this happens to you and wish you could change it, then check out this tutorial to learn how.
How to Change the Search Key to Caps Lock
1). Click on your avatar located on the bottom-right in the taskbar.
2). Click the Settings gear icon .
3). Scroll down to the Device section and click on Keyboard.
4). Locate the select menu for Search and change it to Caps Lock.

Great tip. I’ve only had this chromebook for a week and the pop up search key was the most annoying thing about it. I just set it to Disabled and no more problems.
