The EVSC has a website students, parents, and staff can use to find FREE Wi-Fi around Evansville, IN.  The EVSC Student Wi-Fi website was created back in 2020 at the height of COVID for the purpose of giving students and parents the ability to find free Internet for educational use.  The website continues to be updated with new locations and relevant information as locations make changes to their Wi-Fi.  This is a valuable resource that we encourage parents and students to use when in need of free Internet around Evansville.

Website Features

  • GPS pinpoint accuracy to show the closest free Wi-Fi to a user’s location.
  • Popular locations including: EVSC Schools, EVPL Libraries, restaurants and stores, and the newest Wi-Fi in the Promise Zones.
  • Filter the map by Wi-Fi types, Download/Upload speeds, and distance from current location.
  • SSID information included on each marker so users know which Wi-Fi beacons are safe.
  • Icon Markers show quality of the Wi-Fi so users know which locations are fast and dependable.
  • Download and Upload speed information included along with notes on where to park to get the best signal.

Other Features

  • Hotspot Information available for students who qualify.  Hotspots are no longer available starting the 2023-24 school year.
  • Student Tech Help link that gives students and parents tips to resolve technology issues and the option to fill out a form to submit a Webdesk ticket to the Tech Support person in their building.
