As we continue to use technology to connect our classrooms with home, we want to make sure parents and guardians feel just as comfortable using these tools as our students do! Whether you are joining a parent-teacher conference, connecting with school administration, or setting up a study group, here are the basics of using Google Meet.

1. How to Join a Video Meeting

Usually, you will receive a meeting link via email or Google Calendar.

  • Before you enter: When you click the link, you’ll be placed in a “Green Room.” This is a waiting area where you can check your camera, test your microphone, and adjust your settings before you click “Join Now.”
